Q&A

How do I book a cruise? Use the BOOK A CRUISE tab and complete the form. Submit form and you will receive a response within 24 hours.

Can I have a group larger than 10 people? No. The cruise price includes Max 10 people including kids. 8 guests is better so the yacht won't feel crowded.

Is food served during the cruise? No. You can bring your own food and beverages. Our insurance policy does not permit us to cook or serve food or drinks. There is a BBQ for grilling on the lake! The Captain will help set everything up for you and then you cook your own food. There is a fridge and cooler onboard to keep your drinks cold.

What should I bring with me? Bring food, drinks, sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, hoodie (it can be cooler on the lake than land), music to bluetooth to yacht sound system, camera, goggles/snorkel, and fun attitude.

Can I change the date of my cruise after it is booked? Your Cruise date can be re-scheduled up to 7 days in advance for a fee of $100.  Short notice changes less than 7 days prior to cruise date cannot be accommodated.

What if the weather is bad? It may be necessary to re-schedule your cruise due to bad weather.  This is done at the Captain's discretion. Cruises are generally re-scheduled due to heavy rain or high winds.  Cruises are NOT re-scheduled for a light summer shower or for cloudy overcast weather.  If your cruise is re-scheduled you will be offered a re-schedule date or credit towards a future cruise.  No cash refunds.

Where do cruises depart from? All cruises depart from Port of Newcastle Marina 160 Lakebreeze Drive, Newcastle, ON L1B 0A1. You will get specific instuctions in an email after booking.

What are the Captain's qualifications? Your Captain has years of experience piloting yachts and also carries the following certifications: - Restricted Operator's Certificate DSC Endorsement - Small Commercial Vessel Operator Proficiency - Marine Emergency Duties - Small Non-Pleasure Domestic Vessel Basic Safety - Marine Basic First Aid - Pleasure Craft Operator Card

What's The Refund Policy? All refunds are in the form of credit towards a future cruise.  No cash refunds.

Do you allow fishing? Fishing is not permitted onboard. Our insurance covers sightseeing tours--not fishing. If you are interested in fishing charters there are many available in the area.

Is smoking permitted? Smoking is permitted in desiginated outdoor areas only. No smoking inside the cabin.

What forms of payment do you accept? We can offer the lowest price when you pay by etransfer.

Should I tip the Captain? The best tip is a 5-star Google review! You may also provide a small monetary tip if you choose. Tips are a bonus and not expected.

Are sleeping quarters or staterooms provided? No. Your cruise includes use of all common areas of the yacht.  The staterooms onboard the yacht are not considered common areas and access to staterooms is not included with your cruise.  No sleeping quarters are provided.

Can I bring my pet with me? No. We tried this in the past and it led to problems.
